Lady Tennant's High Accolade rallied to the lead just inside the final furlong to win the 1 1/2-mile King Edward VII Stakes (Eng-II) for 3-year-olds at Royal Ascot Friday afternoon. The 5-2 favorite in the eight-horse field covered the distance over the good-firm going in 2:28.45.

High Accolade, who was ridden by Martin Dwyer, defeated 3-1 second choice Delsarte by two lengths. Summer Land was another length back in third with Anani finishing fourth. Delsarte, a son of Theatrical, is owned by Abdullah Saeed Belhab. Summerland is from the racing partnership of Robert Sangster and Mrs. John Magnier and is a son of Danehill trained by John Gosden.

High Accolade, a son of Mark of Esteem out of the Generous mare Generous Lady, was bred by Deerfield Farm. He entered the King Edward VII off a victory in the Letheby & Christopher Predominate Stakes at Goodwood. He is trained by Marcus Tregoning.
