Stronach Stables' Juvenile Fillies hopeful Top of the League reportedly cracked a cannon bone while galloping Tuesday morning. According to TVG, the Joe Orseno trainee is already en route from Churchill Downs to Rood and Riddle Equine Clinic near Lexington for treatment. Top of the League was not in the original field of 14 fillies for the race, but was third on the also-eligible list. The loss of Jetin Excess to a stone bruise lets in La Vida Loca, but Top of the League was still awaiting a spot to open up. Undefeated in her two lifetime starts, Top of the League (Lite the Fuse--Leagueofherown, by Seattle Slew) was bred by Stronach Stables.
