The July 19 showings of
Seabiscuit in Lexington, Ky., have already sold out. Tickets were made available on July 12 through fax and email requests.
"Many people responded on the same day that tickets went on sale," said Mary Wathen, the event's coordinator. "The fax machine was buzzing with activity throughout the day."
Two showings will take place at The Kentucky Theater on July 19, with proceeds from both going to a variety of charitable causes. Tickets were $30 and $100.
Those who have submitted requests will be notified of confirmations and regrets as soon as possible.
Tickets are still available for the Louisville premiere, also on July 19. For information on that event, visit www.racingscholarships.com or call the Kentucky Derby Museum at (502) 637-1111.
Seabiscuit is scheduled to open nationwide on July 25.
