Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin (left), jockey Fernando Jara (aboard) and Shadwell VP/GM Rick Nichols lead Belmont Stakes victor Jazil to the winner's circle.
Join Kiaran McLaughlin, trainer of 2006 Belmont Stakes winner Jazil, as he shares his thoughts on winning the Belmont and the Triple Crown experience, as well as his ideas on training on the next edition of "Talkin' Horses." McLaughlin will be the guest live online on Wednesday, June 14 beginning at Noon ET (9:00 a.m. PT).

Racing's newest "overnight sensation," Kiaran has actually paid his dues, working for trainers James Burchell, John Hennig (who would become his father-in-law), Dave Kassen, and Tim Muckler before becoming an assistant to D. Wayne Lukas in 1985, where he worked alongside future brother-in-law, Mark Hennig. Kiaran also served as agent for jockey Chris Antley for a brief period, before returning to training as a full-time activity.

McLaughlin was also one of the early adaptors to the modern global nature of Thoroughbred racing, having spent the decade between 1993 and 2003 splitting his time between a position as trainer for Sheikh Mohammed al Maktoum in Dubai and training from his New York base for Sheikh Mohammed, his brother Sheikh Hamdan (owner of Jazil), and Dubai businessman Ahmed al Tayer.

A native of Lexington, Ky., who now lives on Long Island with his wife and two children, McLaughlin is also an inspiration to millions of Multiple Sclerosis sufferers who admire what he has accomplished since being diagnosed in 1998 with MS, for which he takes daily injections to help manage the symptoms and continue such an active lifestyle.

Questions for Kiaran McLaughlin can be submitted in advance or during the live online discussion by going to "Talkin' Horses." The same Internet address will also carry "Talkin' Horses" web cast live. "Talkin' Horses" offers an entertaining and engaging opportunity for racing enthusiasts to talk online one-on-one with high-profile insiders, newsmakers, and legends of the Thoroughbred industry.

Racing enthusiasts are invited to join in the discussion or simply enjoy and monitor the informative "Q&A" session as it occurs at Noon ET on Wednesday. Each edition of "Talkin' Horses" is also archived and available 24/7 for later reading.
