He's still not sure if Wando can get the 1 1/4-mile distance of the Queen's Plate June 21, but trainer Mike Keogh was definitely happy with his colt's key work Sunday.

Wando, with jockey Patrick Husbands in the saddle, went six furlongs in 1:12-flat, handily over the main strip.

"It was a very good work, I'm happy with it," said Keogh, of the move.

Keogh, who also sends out the equally talented Mobil in this year's edition of the Queen's Plate, is hoping for his second career Plate. Woodcarver took the 1999 classic.

As for how Wando will fare in his longest test to date, the veteran conditioner says the answer will come in one week's time.

"I really don't know," offered Keogh. "We'll just have to wait and see."
