Fans of Seabiscuit who want to get that red carpet treatment can now request tickets to the two Kentucky premieres of the feature film. Limited reservations are now available for the July 19 premiere at Lexington's Kentucky Theater, and will soon be available for the July 25 showing at the Louisville Palace. Proceeds from both events will benefit various charitable organizations.
To request tickets for one of the two Lexington showings, visit www.seabiscuitinlex.com. No reservations will be taken by phone or mail.
There are two showings with two different prices. For $30 patrons see the film and are invited to a dessert party before the show. For $100 ticket holders see the film, receive a gift bag, and can attend a cocktail party and live and silent auction where movie-related items are available for bidding. Proceeds benefit the Keeneland Foundation, the Center for Women, Children and Families, the Bluegrass Conservancy, and the University of Kentucky College of Fine Arts.
A web site with further information for the Louisville showing, which benefits the Race for Education, is forthcoming.
The date for the official Hollywood premier of the film is still not set.
