Stakes winner Diamond was represented by his first winner when his daughter, True Gem, won June 11 at five furlongs in :59.25 at Delaware Park in her first start. Bred by Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Bowman, True Gem is owned by Kenyon Furlong. Thomas Bowman is one of the owners of Northview Stallion Station near Chesapeake City, Md., where Diamond (Mr. Prospector -- Pure Profit, by Key to the Mint) stands.
