B. Wayne Hughes and Biscuit Partners' Atswhatimtalknbout will be out of training for at least 30 days, trainer Ron Ellis said, and won't likely make his next start until November at the very earliest. The Kentucky-bred son of A.P. Indy finished fourth in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) before being pulled from consideration for the Belmont Stakes (gr. I) 10 days ago after developing a quarter crack. "We won't see him run until November," Ellis said. "I'll keep him here with me (at his Santa Anita shedrow) and give him at least 30 or 40 days off to give his foot enough time to grow out. There's the Strub Series that I'd like him to be ready for, so this is the best thing for him right now. Basically I'll be starting over with him." Atswhatimtalknbout, a $900,000 purchase as a 2-year-old in training, broke his maiden at first asking back in early January and soon after winning his first allowance condition in February, was put on the Triple Crown trail. He ran second in the San Felipe Stakes (gr. II) in March and fourth in the Santa Anita Derby (gr. I) before his trouble-filled trip under regular jockey David Flores in the Run for the Roses. Overall the big bay colt has won two of six starts for earnings of $209,120.
