Gainesway Stable's Successful Outlook made her stakes debut in Friday's $106,200 Tempted (gr. III) for 2-year-old fillies a winning one at Aqueduct, drawing off in the final stages to remain unbeaten in two starts.
Under steady urging through the lane from Joe Bravo, the Scott Blasi-trained daughter of Orientate
finished 1 1/2 lengths clear of Spectacular Malibu, ridden by Mike Luzzi. Five Star Daydream, the 9-10 favorite in the field of five, finished 3 3/4 lengths farther back. The final time for the one-turn mile test on a fast track was 1:37 1/5.
Successful Outlook, a $95,000 yearling buy, won her debut in gate to wire fashion by 5 1/2 lengths in the mud at Belmont Park Oct. 1. She earned $64,920 for Friday's victory.
The winner was taken in hand after breaking in front from her far outside post. She rallied four wide on the turn, overtaking the pacesetter Changeisgonnacome, who set opening fractions of :23 1/5 and :46 1/5. Successful Outlook held a slim edge over Spectacular Malibu after six furlongs in 1:10 3/5 and pulled away as they closed in on the wire. Five Star Daydream, with Eibar Coa aboard, tired in the final furlong after stalking the leaders on the outside.

Sent off as the second choice, she paid $6.90, $4.20 and $2.40. Spectacular Malibu returned $5 and $2.20. Five Star Daydream, who had a three-race winning streak ended, was $2.10 to show.
