AmericaTab Has Record Month; Continues Growth

AmericaTab reported a record month for total handle in May and broke a single-day handle record on Kentucky Derby Day (May 3).

The May handle of $10.1 million was a significant increase over the previous record of $8.3 million set in March. The new single-day handle mark of $1.1 million bests a previous one-day record set on Breeder's Cup Day in October of 2002, and marks the first million dollar daily handle for the company.

"We added additional hardware, bandwidth and personnel in preparation for the kind of peaks that occurred on the day of the Kentucky Derby. We found that our infrastructure is solid, and our customers responded with a record day. Now that they are using the system, it is clear they want to stay. We can respond to that with more features planned that will enhance their AmericaTab wagering experience."

Additionally, a record number of new accounts were established in May, which helped contribute to the record handle. The 1,459 new customers in May also represented a record in growth for AmericaTab.

The total represented wagering by all AmericaTab affiliates which include WinTicket.com, BrisBET.com, BetHarness.com, MyRaceBet.com, Thoroughbets.com, TsnBET.com, WatchandWager.com, and WinAtTheWire.com. Account holders are able to sign-up through these affiliates and wager through the live operator phone service or the company's closed loop computer systems.
