First Winner for Rubiyat

Grade II stakes-placed Rubiyat was represented by his first winner when his son Rubi Echo won June 1 at Belmont Park in his first start. Bred by Mr. and Mrs. Matthew D. Turner, Rubi Echo won at five furlongs in :58.92 for owner Michael Marceda. Rubiyat (Rubiano -- Blushing Madame, by Blushing Groom) stands at Summer Wind Farm near Libertytown, Md.
