Vin Cox, who recently established his own bloodstock agency following a longtime association with William Inglis and Son Ltd., will represent Keeneland in Australasia. He succeeds Dr. Rex Butterfield, who retired after more than 15 years as Keeneland's representative in the region.
Cox was associated with William Inglis and Son for 14 years, including a six-month internship at Keeneland. He served Inglis as an auctioneer, associate director and sat on the company's board of directors from 1996 to 2002.
Cox will serve as Keeneland's general liaison in Australia and the surrounding region. He will assist with the promotion and advertising of the sales and with the distribution of sales catalogs.
