Ministers Wild Cat, once considered a threat for Triple Crown races, seeks to regroup for the summer with a return in the $150,000 Laz Barrera Memorial Stakes (gr. II) for 3-year-olds at seven furlongs at Hollywood Park Monday.

A disappointing fifth in the Coolmore Lexington Stakes as the favorite at Keeneland April 19, Ministers Wild Cat has worked well here during the past month.

"He was hit seven times in the first turn in Kentucky," said trainer Neil Drysdale of the colt's last outing Thursday. "Victor (Espinoza) said he got the wind knocked out of him."

Ministers Wild Cat is by Deputy Minister out of champion mare Hollywood Wildcat. He has recorded two firsts and two seconds in five starts.

A field of 10 is probable for the Grade II Laz Barrera: Ministers Wild Cat (Espinoza), King Robyn (Alex Solis), Roll Hennessy Roll (Jose Valdivia, Jr.), Excessivepleasure (Patrick Valenzuela), Blazonry (Mike Smith), Martinblestme (Corey Nakatani), Our Bobby V. (Tyler Baze), Truckle Feature (David Flores), Jimmy O (Matt Garcia) and Runnin' On Nitro.
