The week before Breeders' Cup 2000, the weather was warm and sunny at Churchill Downs.
Obviously, the only thing harder to predict than who will win the eight Breeders' Cup races at Churchill Downs on Nov. 4 is what the weather will be like in Louisville, Ky., on that date.
On Thursday, Oct. 26, the 10-forecast from the National Weather Service forecast partly cloudy skies and a high temperature of 72 degrees.
Well, just a day later, on Oct. 27, the same 10-day forecast from the same National Weather Service predicts Nov. 4 in Louisville will be mostly cloudy with a high of 47 degrees.
