Millionaire Classic Cat has arrived at Sean and Barbara Kelly's Wycombe House Stud near Reddick, Fla., where he will enter stud for $5,000 live foal. A Storm Cat grandson, Classic Cat (Mountain Cat -- Sahsie, by Forli) enjoyed a "millionaire season" as a 3-year-old in 1998 for owner Gary Garber. He earned $1,008,820 that year, with major wins coming in the Coolmore Lexington Stakes (gr. II), Ohio Derby (gr. II), and Remington Park Derby (in track-record time of 1:48 for 1 1/8 miles). His stakes-placings came in the Preakness Stakes (gr. I) and Super Derby (gr. I).

Classic Cat won the San Bernardino (gr. II) and Tokyo City Handicaps the following year. He was retired earlier this year with six wins from 20 starts and earnings of $1,221,300.
