Tedesco Named Santa Anita Track Superintendent

(Edited press release)
Santa Anita Park announced July 23 that Richard Tedesco has been hired as track maintenance superintendent.

Santa Anita’s main track is currently in the midst of a $10 million renovation project which will result in a new synthetic CushionTrack surface.

Tedesco brings 43 years of racing industry experience in planning, layout, and maintenance of 44 racetracks and training centers. His experience includes serving as track and turf superintendent at Hollywood Park and track superintendent at Los Alamitos.

“As we embark upon a new era in track maintenance with the installation of CushionTrack, we feel very fortunate that someone of Richard’s caliber is available," said Santa Anita president Ron Charles. "He comes very highly recommended.”

Tedesco will assume his duties effective immediately.  Santa Anita’s CushionTrack will debut with the beginning of the Oak Tree meeting Sept. 26.
