Tiznow, Honest Lady Head West Coast Breeders' Cup Works

Tiznow worked six furlongs at Santa Anita Thursday under regular rider Chris McCarron in his final major work prior to the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I). The Super Derby (gr. I) and Goodwood Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. II) winner covered the distance in 1:12 3/5.
A 3-year-old son of Cee's Tizzy, Tiznow went in splits of :12 2/5, :24 2/5, :36 3/5, :48 4/5, and 1:01. Tiznow, a full brother to last year's Classic runner-up Budroyale, worked prior to the first race at Santa Anita Thursday. He will fly to Louisville on Monday morning, according to trainer Jay Robbins.
Honest Lady continued preparations for the Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I) with a bullet five-furlong work Thursday at Hollywood Park. The Bobby Frankel-trained daughter of Seattle Slew completed the drill in :57 4/5. 1998 Breeders' Cup Sprint winner Reraise worked the same distance in 1:00 2/5 for trainer Craig Dollase.
