My Place Toknight, a filly by out of Place, turned in the fastest quarter mile work of :22 Friday during the second session of the under tack show for the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic May sale of 2-year-olds in training in Maryland. Consigned by Donna M. Burnham, agent, My Place Toknight was produced from the stakes-winning Tough Knight mare What a Knight.
The weather was rainy, and consignors were given the option of waiting until Sunday to work their horses at Timonium. The extra session will begin at 8 a.m. (EDT).
The fastest workers Friday also included an Elusive Quality -- T. V. Jingles filly and an Unbridled's Song -- Cee's Maryanne filly that each breezed an eighth of a mile in :10 2/5. The Elusive Quality filly is consigned by Pike Racing, agent, and the Unbridled's Song filly is consigned by H.T. Stables, agent for Cam Allard.
A filly from the first crop of Exploit named Exploit Choice was the only worker at three furlongs, covering the distance in :36 1/5. Consigned by Hartley-De Renzo Thoroughbreds, agent, she was produced from the unraced Valid Appeal mare Wellingtons Choice and is a half-sister to stakes winner Gadir (by Sejm).
The sale will be held Monday and Tuesday, with each day's session beginning at 10 a.m. (EDT).
