Jockey Jose Delgado escaped serious injury Friday after he fell from his horse, Natural High, in the third race at Calder Race Course.
Natural High was on the lead in the race when he suffered a fractured right cannon bone and sesamoid near the sixteenth pole. Natural High was euthanized on the track due to the severity of the injury.
Delgado sustained a cut inside his right leg, but otherwise was reported to be doing fine.
