Milk It Mick, an English champion at 2 and U.S. grade I winner, will enter stud at David Scott and Sarah Stoneham's Lone Oak Stud near Newmarket, England. Retired from racing this spring, the 6-year-old son of Millkom will be the farm's first stallion.

Milk It Mick was bred by Yvette Dixon and raced for her husband, Paul. Milk It Mick won the 2003 Darley Dewhurst Stakes (Eng-I) and Somerville Tattersalls Stakes (Eng-III) the year he was champion 2-year-old male. He placed in three stakes that year and was stakes-placed at 3.

Once in the U.S., Milk It Mick continued to shine. Trained by James M. Cassidy, he ran second to The Tin Man in the 2006 San Marcos Stakes (gr. IIT) in his debut, then beat Aragorn in winning the Frank E. Kilroe Mile Handicap (gr. IT). Later that year, he finished third in the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic Stakes (gr. IT) and Arcadia Handicap (gr. IIT).

Milk It Mick, who failed to win in 2007, retired with 16 wins and placings in 28 races and earnings of $671,577. He is out of the winning Komaite mare Lunar Music.

The Dixons named Milk It Mick after a friend who took things to the extreme. "He was always milking it," Paul Dixon said.
