Magna Entertainment Names Two to Executive Positions

Magna Entertainment Corp. has officially announced the appointment of Roman Doroniuk as chief operating officer and John Perrotta as vice-president of operations.
Doroniuk previously served as president and chief operating officer of Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., an integrated supplier of entertainment products including television, animation, motion picture production, and worldwide distribution; chief financial officer of Alliance Communications Corp., Canada's largest fully integrated media entertainment company; president and chief executive officer of Pennington's Stores, a clothing retailer; and chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Peoples Jewellers Corp. of Canada.
Perrotta is a longtime horseman with experience in nearly every aspect of the Thoroughbred racing and breeding businesses. He has been involved in a number of horse industry businesses and has served in a senior management capacity with horse-related businesses. Perrotta is a recent past president of the Thoroughbred Breeders' Association of New Jersey and has served on a variety of other industry boards.
Doroniuk and Perrotta joined the MEC management team in April.
