Mynameischase lit up the tote board at Arlington Park in Wednesday's seventh race with a $242.80 win mutuel for a $2 wager.
It was the largest payoff recorded at Arlington since the facility reopened in 2000.
The 4-year-old gelding owned by Jim Perrone & Stephen Richek, trained by Nicolas Perez and ridden by apprentice jockey Cruz Contreras, toured the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:05.17 on a sloppy course. He came from just off the pace to win the $30,000 allowance sprint by 3 3/4 lengths.
The previous high straight payoff recorded here since the 2000 season was posted Oct. 2 last fall when Your Bold paid a $154.20 straight mutuel.
Mynameischase paid $75.60 to place, also a high for the young season, and $13.20 to show. The exacta payoff coupling Mynameischase with runner-up Spanish Mist returned $3,245.60, and the trifecta involving third-place finisher Bold America was worth $9,329.20.
