Longtime Philadelphia Park jockey agent Jack Servis, 73, died May 10 after a brief illness.

Servis was a well known personality at the Bensalem, Pa., racetrack, having handled the books of Matt Vigliotti, Rick Wilson, Steve Capanas, Art Madrid, Jr., Tony Black, and most recently Jose Flores and Kendrick Carmouche.

Servis' nephew, John, is a successful trainer at Philadelphia Park who recently conditioned grade 1-winning mare Jostle for Fox Hill Farm.

"Racing was his passion, his life," John Servis said.

Jack Servis is survived by his wife, Florence; and two daughters, Donna, who worked in the Philadelphia Park racing office, and Kathy. A viewing is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. May 14 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 1200 Park Ave., Bensalem, followed by a funeral Mass at 7.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Catherine's Hall, 750 Ashbourne Rd., Elkins Park, Pa., 19027.
