Grade I winner Political Force arrived Oct. 11 at Claiborne Farm, where he will enter stud next year for $15,000 live foal.

The 4-year-old son of Unbridled’s Song, out of multiple-grade I winner Glitter Woman, was bred and raced by Joseph Allen. Political Force made his last start in the Jockey Club Gold Cup (gr. I) on Sept. 30, when he finished third to championship contenders Curlin and Lawyer Ron.

Raised at Claiborne, Political Force raced at 2, 3 and 4. He made 17 starts and won or placed in 13 of them, including six stakes, all graded. A winner at 2 and runner-up to Bluegrass Cat in the Nashua Stakes (gr. III), Political Force enjoyed the best year of his career in 2007. He won the Suburban Handicap (gr. I) by 1 1/4 lengths and was second by less than a length in the Metropolitan Mile (gr. I). Political Force also placed in the Westchester Handicap and the Skip Away Handicap, both grade IIIs.

Political Force retires with $607,232 in earnings.
