Six-year-old Unbridled Sidney won five turf stakes in her career.

Unbridled Sidney, a five-time stakes winner, has been retired from racing to become a broodmare for owner Douglas Devenport at Nathan Fox' Richland Hills near Midway, Ky. The 6-year-old daughter of Unbridled's Song is booked to leading sire Smart Strike.

Trained by Ronny Werner, Unbridled Sidney still holds the five-furlong course record of :55.54 that she set in winning the 2005 Zenobia Empress Handicap on turf at Churchill Downs. Her other stakes wins, all on grass, came in the Cherokee Run Breeders' Cup and Distaff Turf Sprint Championship Handicaps and the Mamzelle and The Very One Stakes. She retired with eight wins from 23 races and earnings of $680,380

Bred in Kentucky by Pacelco S.A. and Gaines-Gentry Thoroughbreds, Unbridled Sidney is a half-sister to Dubai champion Caller One and grade II winner Prospect Bay. Her dam, Baltic Sea, is by Danzig.
