Affirmed, the last Triple Crown winner and the only stallion in history to win 14 Grade 1 races, will be memorialized at Darley at Jonabell with a sculpture by renowned equine artist Gwen Reardon.

Lou and Patrice Wolfson's Harbor View Farm commissioned the half life-sized bronze. The completion of the statue coincides with the 25th anniversary of Affirmed's historic Triple Crown sweep.

Darley purchased Jonabell in the summer of 2001, and the stud is currently undergoing a major renovation to its stallion complex. The Affirmed gravesite and statue will be the focal point of the new complex.

Affirmed won 22 of 29 races, including 14 Grade 1 stakes, and he earned $2,393,818. He is the sire of nine champions and 81 Stakes winners. Through April 28, his progeny have won 1,616 races and have earned $48,069,831.
