Officer Filly Among Fastest at OBS

Officer (shown) is the sire of a filly out of Not to Be Outdone who worked an eighth of a mile in :10 during the third session of the under tack show for the OBS spring sale of 2-year-olds in training.

Four horses each worked an eighth of a mile in :10, which was the fastest time for the distance Thursday during the third session of the under tack show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. spring sale of 2-year-olds in training. Zipping over the Central Florida auction firm’s synthetic Safetrack surface were an Officer – Not to Be Outdone filly, consigned by Bruno DeBerdt and Rudy Delguidice’s Excel Bloodstock; a City Zip– Play Po colt, consigned by Woodside Ranch, agent; a Langfuhr   – Race to Glory filly, consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, agent; and a Pleasantly Perfect– Separata filly, consigned by Harris Training Center, agent.

There also was a four-horse tie for the quickest at a quarter-mile.  Completing the distance in :21 were a Songandaprayer   – Miss Delta colt, consigned by James Layden, agent; a Roar of the Tiger– Penn Central filly and a High Yield – See U At My Window colt named Storm Door, both consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, agent; and a Posse – Real Crafty Belle filly, consigned by Terry Oliver and Bo Hunt’s O & H Bloodstock.

Raging Prune Face, a Gulf Storm – Raging Dancer filly, was the fastest worker at three-eighths of a mile with her time of of :33 2/5. Her consignor is Sescan, agent.

The under tack show’s third session was for Hip Nos. 691-1036 in the spring sale’s catalog. The first session, for Hip Nos. 1-346, and second session, for Hip Nos. 347-690, were held on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.  The fourth session, for Hip Nos. 1037-1381 is scheduled for Friday, beginning at 9 a.m. (EDT).

The spring sale will be held April 21-24, with each session starting at 10:30 a.m.
