Edited release from Churchill DownsJames and Karen Stone's daughter of In Case breezed five furlongs in 1:02 over a "sloppy" track at Churchill Downs' Trackside Louisville training center on Friday.
Jockey Calvin Borel was in the irons aboard the Bill Million-trained filly as she covered the distance in fractional times of :12.60, :25.20, :37.20 and :49.60 and she galloped out six furlongs in 1:16.40.
Million said that In Case Of Wind would be entered in the Kentucky Oaks if she does well over the next couple of days.
"She came out of it well and got a good 'blow' in her," said Million. "Over this racetrack this morning I think that was a pretty good move. Everything, as of right now, is on 'go.' We'll see how she comes out. Maybe it'll rain next week and we'll have a sloppy track for the Oaks because she handled it really, really well."
Million said that Borel would ride In Case Of Wind in the Oaks.
"Calvin was really pleased with the work today," he said. "She broke off a little quicker than normal. We wanted to see if she could sustain that and finish up strong and she did. She galloped out very strong and actually re-broke with him down the backside when they were galloping out. He didn't think there was any problem with her getting the mile and an eighth."
