Churchill Downs will offer all-stakes Pick Four wagers with combined guaranteed pools of $1 million on next week's racing programs for the 129th renewals of the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks.A guaranteed minimum pool of $750,000 will be offered for the "Kentucky Derby All Stakes Pick Four" and its four races include three Grade I events and culminates in the Kentucky Derby. The "Kentucky Oaks All Stakes Pick Four" will have a guaranteed minimum pool of $250,000 and that multi-race wager will conclude with the 129th Oaks.The Kentucky Oaks All Stakes Pick 4 consists of races 7-10 on the Kentucky Oaks Day racing card on Friday, May 2. The individual races are the $100,000-added Aegon Turf Sprint, a five-furlong race for 3-year-olds & up on turf; the $300,000-added Louisville Breeders' Cup, a 1 1/16-mile race for fillies and mares ages 4 & up; the $100,000-added Crown Royal American Turf, a 1 1/16-mile race for 3-year-olds on the grass; and the $500,000-added Kentucky Oaks (GI) for 3-year-old fillies at 1 1/8-miles. The Kentucky Derby All Stakes Pick Four covers races 7-10 on the Derby Day racing card. It opens with the $100,000-added CITGO Distaff Turf Mile for fillies and mares ages 3 & up on the grass and then moves on to its three grade I events. Those races include the $250,000-added Humana Distaff for fillies & mares 4 & up at seven furlongs; the $300,000-added Woodford Reserve Turf Classic, for 3-year-olds and up at 1 1/8-miles on the grass; and the Kentucky Derby, America's greatest race, at 1 1/4-miles for 3-year-olds.
The All Stakes Pick Four Wagers on Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks Days will be minimum $1 wagers.
