Evolving Tactics Not Coming For Derby

Evolving Tactics, who was under consideration for the May 3 Kentucky Derby (gr. I), will not be shipped from Ireland for the race,
The Blood-Horse has learned.
Stan Cosgrove, manager of Walter Haefner's Moyglare Stud in Ireland, said the son of Machiavellian walked Thursday morning and the decision was made not to send him for the Derby.
Evolving Tactics scored his first career win in three starts on Monday, after which trainer Dermot Weld said he was making travel and quarantine arrangements for the colt.
Those plans have now been scrapped.
