Team Valor has purchased Run Cat Run, a 6 1/2-length winner in an April 16 maiden special weight contest at Pimlico, from owner and trainer John Salzman.

Run Cat Run left Salzman's Laurel Park barn Tuesday and will now be trained by New York-based conditioner John Terranova. The filly is now pointed toward the June 5 Fashion Stakes at Belmont Park.

According to a release on its web site, Team Valor was interested in the granddaughter of Storm Cat because they felt she would run long, based on her pedigree, way of going and conformation.

"There is no sprint to her pedigree, conformation or rhythm of stride," said Barry Irwin, president of Team Valor on the Team Valor website. "For her to be able to dominate a sprint the way she did yesterday tells us that when we stretch her out, she could prove to be something extraordinary."

Team Valor will syndicate the filly on the basis of $450,000, into interests of 10% ($45,000), 5% ($22,500), and 2 1/2% ($11,250).
