Personal Ensign Foals Monarchos Filly

Unbeaten champion Personal Ensign foaled a Monarchos filly April 18 at the Hancock family's Claiborne Farm near Paris, Ky., for Phipps Stable. Monarchos, the 2001 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner, stands at Claiborne. Nineteen-year-old Personal Ensign (Private Account -- Grecian Banner, by Hoist the Flag) is booked to Kingmambo.
Personal Ensign, 1996 Kentucky Broodmare of the Year, is the dam of grade I winners My Flag, Miner's Mark, and Traditionally, plus grade I stakes-placed Our Emblem, sire of 2002 champion War Emblem. My Flag, dam of 2002 champion Storm Flag Flying, produced an A.P. Indy colt for Phipps Stable March 30.
