Kelley's Day, dam of millionaire and Japanese leading sire Brian's Time, was euthanized April 15 because of complications from the infirmities of old age. The 26-year-old daughter of Graustark resided at Darby Dan Farm near Lexington and produced a Lemon Drop Kid filly earlier this year .

Bred by Darby Dan founder John W. Galbreath, Kelley's Day produced 15 foals, including additional stakes winner Ellie's Moment and three stakes-placed runners. Brian's Time, a son of Darby Dan stallion Roberto and a two-time grade I winner, ran second in the 1988 Preakness Stakes (gr. I) and third in the Belmont Stakes (gr. I).

Kelley's Day raced for J.W. Phillips of Darby Dan, winning five of 18 races and earning $88,036. She ran third behind Love Sign and Sugar and Spice in the 1980 Gazelle Handicap (gr. II). Kelley's Day's dam, Golden Trail (by Hasty Road), is responsible in female family for such top performers as champions Ryafan and Sunshine Forever, prominent sire Dynaformer, and millionaire Memories of Silver.
