Dennis Testa has left Gulfstream Park, where he has served as director of operations since 1998.
Testa’s last day at Gulfstream was Aug. 12, said Mike Mullaney, media director for the Hallandale Beach, Fla., racetrack.
“We do not comment on the departure of employees,” Mullaney said.
Gulfstream does not have a timetable for naming a successor to Testa, whose responsibilities included Gulfstream’s racing surfaces. Gulfstream will begin its 2009 meet Jan. 3.
According to Gulfstream’s media guide, Testa worked as Hialeah Park’s director of operations for 14 years before he joined Gulfstream in 1994 as general superintendent. He has a degree in building construction and architecture from the University of Florida.
