A crowd of 7,802 at Pimlico watched jockey Ryan Fogelsonger tie a career high with five victories Saturday.

In addition to taking both stakes races, the $150,000 Federico Tesio and the $125,000 Baltimore Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. III), the 21-year old scored on three straight mounts in the middle of the 10-race card.

He won the Tesio with Cherokee's Boy and the Baltimore aboard P Day.

"This was by far the best day I have ever had," said Fogelsonger, who won five races at Old Hilltop on Sept. 18 and Oct. 2. "I won three races early on and I knew I had excellent shots in both the stakes and it worked out."

The reigning Eclipse Award winner as top apprentice jockey ranks second in the nation with 120 wins. He leads the current Pimlico meet with 25 victories.
