Proud And True Colt Works Fastest Three Furlongs In OBS Under Tack Show

Gallant and Proud whipped through three furlongs in :33 4/5 Friday to post the fastest time at the distance during the third session of the under tack show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's April sale of 2-year-olds in training. The chestnut son of Proud and True is consigned by Stutts Stable, agent for Greased Lightning Stable. He is out of My Gallant Queen (by My Gallant), a daughter of stakes winner Cornish Queen.
A colt by Foxtrail turned in the session's fastest eighth, stopping the timer in :10 1/5. Consigned by Halcyon Hammock Farm, agent, the chestnut colt is out of Prospector's Bliss (by Personal Flag), a daughter of stakes winner Prospector's Fuel.
Five youngsters shared honors for the fastest quarter with a :21 3/5 clocking. They were Feel the Breeze, a Wild Escapade--Minister's Secret filly; a Storm Boot -- Miss O'Keefe colt; Penn Pacific, a Stormy Atlantic -- Miss Penn colt; Sir Steven, a Dance Brightly -- Rare Indication colt; and a Smoke Glacken -- Really a Fact filly.
The under tack show continues Saturday morning in Florida at 9:00 a.m. (EDT). The sale is scheduled to run from April 22 through April 25.
