Trainer William Spawr saddled Free Companion, marking the seventh win on the Oak Tree at Santa Anita meet for the trainer-jockey combination. Free Companion returned $3 as the 1-2 favorite in the claiming race.
Pincay is named on four mounts on Wednesday's card: Dinneratthepalms in the first race, Freecielo in the third, My Sweet Lucy in the fourth, and Moment to Remember in the sixth. Dinneratthepalms and Moment to Remember are both trained by Spawr.
Pincay's mount in Sunday's seventh race, the $108,000 Harold C. Ramser Sr. Handicap, was Fire Sale Queen. High Margin won the one-mile turf race for 3-year-old fillies under Kent Desormeaux and paid $22. Janet was second, and 7-5 favorite Millie's Quest fourth in the six-horse field. (Chart, Equibase
