Larrupin' Filly Sets Pace at OBS Under Tack Show

A filly by Larrupin' zipped a quarter mile in :21 to post the fastest work at the distance Thursday during the second session of the under tack show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Co. April sale of 2-year-olds in training. Consigned by Halcyon Hammock Farm, agent, the bay filly is out of stakes-placed Irish and Foxy (by Irish Open).

Five youngsters shared honors for the session's fastest eighth-mile breeze with a :10 2/5 clocking. They were Kids Got Skills, a Pentelicus -- Glittercrew colt; El Cassique, a Semoran -- J'Aldawnza colt; a Lucky North -- Lively Dream colt; a Wekiva Springs -- Lake Chase filly; and an Island Whirl -- Lucky Lady Lucy colt.

Doubly Hard, worked the session's fastest three eighths, stopping the timer in :34 2/5. Consigned by Farnsworth Farms, agent, the bay colt is by Double Honor out of Hard to Manage (by Our Michael), a half sister to stakes winners Bossanova and Dance Studio.

The under tack show continues Friday morning at 9 a.m. (EDT). The sale is scheduled for April 22 through April 25.
