Japanese Champion Kurofune to Arrowfield in Australia

Arrowfield Stud in Australia announced that Japanese champion Kurofune will join its stallion roster for the 2003 Southern Hemisphere season.
Due to unprecedented demand for Kurofune's sire, French Deputy (by Deputy Minister), and another Deputy Minister son, Dehere. who are both serving limited books at Arrowfield, Arrowfield has made available one of his sire's top sons.
Kurofune, who was produced from the Classic Go Go mare Blue Avenue, was assigned top weight as a 3-year-old of 2001 in the international classifications in both the mile and intermediate categories. He won six of 10 starts. including two at the group I level, and set four track records. Kurofune, who earned $3.043,410, will stand for $16,500 (GST inclusive) and will serve a maximum of 120 mares. He and French Deputy currently stand at Shadai Stallion Station in Japan.
