The $100,000-added Doubledogdare, named for the first winner of Keeneland's Spinster Stakes, drew a field of six stakes-winning fillies and mares. Robert T. Manfuso's Belterra was expected to be the favorite for the race, but the filly was scratched the day of the race. Also scratched was Ifyouprefersilver, leaving four horses in the field.

Larry Biedfeldt and Ed Weaver's Salty Farma just capped a solid winter in Louisiana by winning the Goddess Handicap at Delta Downs. The David Kassen trainee will have regular rider Lonnie Meche in the saddle for the Doubledogdare.

Gary Tanaka's Ifyouprefersilver won the Chou Croute Handicap at Fair Grounds under Wednesday's rider Frank Lovato, Jr. She has won five races in seven tries for trainer Michael Stidham.

The Doubldogdare field from the rail out:
1. Reason To Talk (Pat Day)
2. Extend (Cornelio Velasquez)
3. Salty Farma (Meche)
4. Belterra (Santos) (SCRATCHED)
5. Seven Four Seven (Jason Lumpkins)
6. Ifyouprefersilver (Lovato, Jr.) (SCRATCHED)
