Edited press release
The New York Racing Association announced Oct. 31 that Kimberly Justus has assumed the newly-created post of director of guest services. In her new role, Justus is responsible for all customer service functions at NYRA.
Justus is well-regarded on the racing scene through her extensive operations management and project leadership roles with the Breeders’ Cup and the National Thoroughbred Racing Association. Most recently, she served as the Breeders’ Cup senior director of operations.
Easing the transition to her new organization will be Justus’s working knowledge of NYRA and her established relationships with many NYRA employees, patrons, and New York horsemen gained through her experience working on Breeders’ Cups held at Belmont Park.
“We feel very fortunate as a company to be able to attract an individual with Kimberly’s experience and work ethic to become part of the NYRA management group; her varied and extensive background with Breeders’ Cup and NTRA uniquely position her to be able to join us and make a very significant contribution to the culture of how NYRA interacts with its customers,” said Hal Handel, NYRA executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Justus assumed her duties for NYRA at Aqueduct Racetrack Oct. 31.
