Edited Tattersalls press release
Tattersalls has cataloged 2,728 lots for its December mixed sale, which will be held Nov. 24 – Dec. 4 in England. There are 237 yearlings listed for the auction’s first day, 1,261 foals spread over five days, and 1,230 lots of breeding stock listed for the sale’s final four days.
Heading the auction are a trio of European group I-winning winning 3-year-old fillies, Natagora, Lady Marian, and Saoirse Abu, and the group I-winning South African Horse of the Year National Colour. Also in the catalog are group II-winning juveniles Lahaleeb and Langs Lash.
“The 2007 Tattersalls December Sale broke all records with an outstanding catalogue headlined by the dispersal of the late Robert Sangster’s Swettenham Stud,” said Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony, “and whilst that will be a hard act to follow we are delighted to offer three catalogues stacked with quality, including three top class group I-winning 3-year-old fillies. The Tattersalls December sale typically attracts buyers from all corners of the globe looking to upgrade the quality of their broodmare bands, and we look forward to welcoming them to what is the world’s most international sale. The Tattersalls December foal sale also looks strong on quality with the top 20 active British- and Irish-based sires, as well as top French, German, and North American sires all represented.”
