Gelding Dare To Win Tops Australian Mixed Sale

Dare To Win, a winning 6-year-old gelding by Danewin, brought the top price of $17,000 (approximately $10,312 in U.S. funds) Friday during the William Inglis & Son Easter Thoroughbred mixed sale at Newmarket in Australia. Vic Tonkin purchased the gelding, who was produced from the Troy mare Trajana, from the partnership of R.G. Hore-Lacey, F.A.K. Farooq, R.S. Dagleish, R.J. Smith, and Ms. G.L. Oscar.
In all, 108 horses were sold for a gross of $324,450 ($196,802) and an average of $3,004 ($1,822).
