AmericaTab and its affiliates set a one-month handle record in March with $8.3 million in wagers, the company reported April 10. It was the second consecutive month of record-breaking handle.
AmericaTab, headquartered in Ohio but with a hub in Oregon, attributes the growth to new Web site features existing customers are promoting to others.
"The talk on the street is that we have the platform with the most flexibility, ease of use, service, and quality streaming video, said Charlie Ruma, managing member of AmericaTab and president of Beulah Park in Grove City, Ohio. "These are the areas we concentrated on during the winter development months. Those customers with existing accounts are using our system more exclusively as a one-stop wagering site."
The company reported 2,889 new accounts for the first quarter of 2003, a pace that will outperform 2002, when 8,869 new accounts were added. AmericaTab has added several new tracks to its product mix, and reintroduced Australian racing, which has become a very popular evening signal.
AmericaTab affiliates include WinTicket.com, BrisBET.com, BetHarness.com, MyRaceBet.com, Thoroughbets.com, TsnBET.com, WatchandWager.com, and WinAtTheWire.com.
