(from track report)Stan Fulton's multiple stakes-winning 3-year-old Roll Hennessy Roll arrived at Keeneland from California and looked magnificent as he galloped over the track Thursday morning preparing for Sunday's Lafayette Stakes.
"He went super," said assistant trainer Jose Becerra. "He really seems to like this track."
The winner of the Los Ninos Stakes, the Ruidoso Thoroughbred Futurity and the Hollywood Prevue Stakes (gr. III) is coming off a troubled trip in the Baldwin Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Santa Anita, won by Derby hopeful Buddy Gill.
"Did you see his last race?" trainer Rafael Becerra asked. "He stumbled badly at the start and then came flying in the stretch. It was an incredible race for him. I think he will be tough on Sunday. I'm taking the redeye from L.A. on Saturday so I can be there to saddle him."
