Seven of the best 3-year-old fillies in North America were entered Thursday morning for the 66th running of the $500,000 Ashland Stakes at 1 1/16 miles Saturday.

Unbeaten Lady Tak might be the starting favorite by virtue of her unblemished record, although several others could draw the public's fancy. Winner of the Fair Grounds Oaks (gr. II) in her latest trip to the post, she carries the distinctive white colors with the lone burnt orange Texas star of Heiligbrodt Racing Stable.

Steve Asmussen trains the diminutive daughter of Mutakddim. With regular rider Donnie Meche serving a suspension, Corey Lanerie has been named to ride.

Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider's Yell impressed her followers with a six-length tally in the Davona Dale Stakes (gr. II) at Gulfstream Park last time out. Jockey John Velasquez will be aboard.

Trained by Shug McGaughey, Yell could be the one to win the coveted Keeneland Gold Bowl for her Claiborne if stablemate Remind doesn't do it opening day in the Transylvania Stakes (gr. III).

Ivanavinalot has won six races in nine starts for her owner and breeder Gilbert C. Campbell. The daughter of West Acre most recently won the Bonnie Miss Stakes at Gulfstream Park. She will have Mark Guidry in the irons. The Kathleen O'Connell trainee arrived from Florida on Wednesday.

Trainer Craig Dollase is in town for the weekend and was all smiles when asked about his Ashland chances with Elloluv. The daughter of Gilded Time won the Hollywood Starlet (gr. I) as a 2-year-old and the Santa Ynez this year for owner John Paul Reddam. Robby Albarado will get a leg-up on the California shipper.

DuZee Stable's Unbridled Femme, 13-length winner of the Valdale Stakes at Turfway, James
Tafel's Eliza Stakes winner Allspice and Tracy Farmer's Golden Rod Stakes runner-up Holiday Lady round out the competition.

1. Yell, John Velasquez;
2. Lady Tak Corey Lanerie;
3. Unbridled Femme, Brian Peck;
4. Ivanavinalot, Mark Guidry;
5. Elloluv, Robby Albarado;
