Happyanunoit, purchased by Newsells Park Stud for $1.4 million at last year's Keeneland November sale, produced her first foal, a Giant's Causeway filly, at Coolmore Stud in Ireland. She will be bred back to Danehill.
By Yachtie out of the Rajah mare Easter Queen, Happanunoit was bred in New Zealand and began her racing career in New Zealand and Australia. She was the high-weighted filly at two on the New Zealand Free Handicap.
Purchased by Amerman Racing Stable and turned over to Bobby Frankel, Happyanunoit was a grade I winner on turf each year she raced in the United States: taking the Matriarch Stakes in 1999; Beverly Hills Handicap the following year; and the Gamely Breeders' Cup Handicap in 2001. In all, she won nine of 21 starts and earned $1,582,118.
Happyanunoit was consigned at Keeneland by Mill Ridge Sales, agent.
