In accord with American Graded Stakes Committee policy, the March 23, 2003, renewal of the Grade II Orchid H., scheduled for the Gulfstream Park turf course but switched to the main track, was automatically downgraded to Grade III status and was conducted as a Grade III stakes race.
The American Graded Stakes Committee has reviewed the off-the-turf renewal and has determined that the original Grade II status will be reinstated for this renewal.
The winner of the race, Tweedside, should be credited with a Grade II win; the second- and third-place finishers, San Dare and Hi Tech Honeycomb, should be credited with Grade II placings.
