Hasten to Add, who has been standing in California, has been purchased by Gary Shultz to stand in Illinois. No stud fee was announced for the 13-year-old son of Cozzene. The purchase was handled by bloodstock agent Stanley D. Petter Jr.
A Canadian champion, Hasten to Add stood in 1997 and 1998 at Rancho del Charro. He then took up residence at Black Oak Farm. He has 52 named foals in five crops.
Hasten to Add won five of 21 starts while racing, including the 1995 Laurel Turf Cup Stakes (gr. IIIT), and earned $517,833.
Bred and raced by Pin Oak Farm, Hasten to Add is out of the Cougar II mare Beau Cougar and a half-brother to Selene Stakes winner See How She Runs.
