Composure, who was retired last week because of a fractured sesamoid, arrived March 22 at Robert N. Clay's Three Chimneys Farm near Midway, Ky. Owners Robert and Beverly Lewis have decided to breed the 3-year-old filly to leading sire A.P. Indy (Seattle Slew -- Weekend Surprise, by Secretariat).
Composure (Touch Gold -- Party Cited, by Alleged) won this year's La Virgenes Stakes (gr. I) and Santa Anita Oaks (gr. I) and earned a career total of $731,300.
